Peggy Jane Bible Cranham, 12 Mar 1938 - 16 Dec 2020

Peggy Jane Cranham, age 82, long-time resident of Van Buren Township, MI, passed away, Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born March 12, 1938 in Johnson City, Tennessee, daughter of Chris & Etta (Swanger) Bible. She graduated from Science Hill High School in Johnson City, class of 1956. She married Roland Edward Cranham on January 6, 1969. She worked by her husbands side for over 25 years running their commercial electrical contracting business, Inter-City Electric Corporation. Prior to her paralysis from a stroke Peggy enjoyed boating, all sports (especially the Detroit Tigers baseball team), outside gardening and planting of flowers, decorating, angels, the holidays and her family. After her stroke she began a love for all old movies and would watch them with so much joy and delight for hours. Of course her immense love for her family and Detroit Tigers baseball continued until her last days of life. She was a member of the Belleville Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Belleville Moose Lodge.

Peggy is survived by her daughter Renae (Billy) Cranham-Humbarger of Van Buren Township, MI, and her sister Louise King of Johnson City, TN, also numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of nearly 50 years, Roland Edward Cranham, also four siblings, Foye Bible, Ola Hayden, Robert Bible and Jack Bible.

Visitation will be 2-6 pm Sunday and 10-11 AM Monday, December 21, 2020 with an 11:00 AM funeral at David C. Brown Funeral Home, 460 E. Huron River Dr., Belleville, MI 48111 (734)697-4500. Pastor Kevin Dykstra will officiate. Due to COVID-19, there is a maximum of 25 people in the chapel at a time and face coverings are required. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Belleville, MI.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Mercy Hospice or American Stroke Association and would be appreciated.
